Ruth Moody - January 2015 UK Tour Dates

When someone as universally respected as Mark Knopfler is singing your praises, guesting on your records and featuring you as his support act on large international tours, you must be doing something right. Ruth Moody is doing something very right indeed. Australian by birth but based in Winnipeg, Canada the two-time Juno award winning singer-songwriter , best known as a founder member of The Wailin’ Jennys, has now released two fine solo albums with ‘The Garden’ from 2010 and her 2013 release ‘These Wilder Things’ receiving rave reviews.

An Evening With TOTO Live In 2015

Michelle Lewis - 'The Parts Of Us That Still Remain' due Dec 1st

December 1st 2014 will mark the release of the second full album from Boston native Michelle Lewis.  The self-released album is the belated, but very welcome, follow up to her 2004 debut ‘This Time Around’. Once again Lewis has worked with producer and multi-instrumentalist Anthony J Resta (Duran Duran, Collective Soul, Shawn Mullins etc.) with whom she had previously worked on her ‘Broken’ and ‘Paris’ EPs. The album includes two superb songs written with Nashville songwriter Robby Hecht.

Fraser Anderson opens his Little Glass Box + Live Dates

Scottish singer-songwriter Fraser Anderson will play a solo acoustic showcase at the BBC Club in London on 26th November to celebrate the first full release of his album 'Little Glass Box'. Tracks from the album have already featured on BBC radio courtesy of Bob Harris and Zoe Ball. The album was recorded in France and initially manufactured by Fraser himself and sold at shows while living in that country, 'Little Glass Box' will now receive a welcome reissue on Membran Records as the first release in a new partnership with the company.

Gretchen Peters set to fly in 2015

Fresh off her induction into the prestigious Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, Gretchen Peters has confirmed the 9th February release of her new album 'Blackbirds.' Co-produced with Doug Lancio and Barry Walsh and recorded in Nashville, the album features a who's who of modern American roots music: Jerry Douglas, Jason Isbell, Jimmy LaFave, Will Kimbrough, Kim Richey, Suzy Bogguss and more.

Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors - New album 'Medicine' + tour dates

Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors will release a new album ‘Medicine’ January 26th, 2015 via his own Magnolia Music label. The album is a follow up to the well received and highly successful ‘Good Light’ from 2013 and marks a decade in existence for The Neighbors - wife Ellie (vocals / guitar), Nathan Dugger (guitar / keys) and Rick Brinsfield (bass). ‘Medicine’ was recorded in just eight days at Middletree Studios in East Nashville with Joe Pisapia (KD Lang, Ben Folds, Guster, Josh Rouse) co-producing with the band.

Nashville based, Memphis born Drew Holcomb will be touring the UK and Ireland early in 2015 accompanied by Nathan Dugger.

A full review of 'Medicine' will be featured on Red Guitar Music very soon.

Blackberry Smoke unveils new album 'Holding All the Roses' for 2015

R.E.M. announce vinyl singles collection 7IN-83-88

This new boxed set from UMC / Capitol, due for release December 8th, brings together eleven R.E.M.  7” Vinyl singles originally released between 1983 and 1988 on the I.R.S. Records label. The singles feature replicated original picture sleeve art and the set includes two U.K. releases making their U.S. vinyl seven-inch debuts: “Finest Worksong” / “Time After Time” (live) and the double-pack single for “Wendell Gee” with “Crazy,” “Ages of You,” and “Burning Down.”

Deep Purple features Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Ian Paice, Steve Morse and Don Airey. The band are on tour in support of their most recent album ‘Now What?!’

Classic hard rock act Heaven & Earth featuring guitarist Stuart Smith and frontman Joe Retta are hard at work on a follow up to the acclaimed 2013 release ‘Dig’. The band has undergone some changes and the new line-up welcomes Ty Bailie (Keyboards), Lynn Sorensen (bass / vocals) and legendary drummer Kenny Aronoff to the fold.
