Fresh from a run of dates in the USA Scottish singer-songwriter Dean Owens is about to hit the road in the UK. The tour will include a London date at The Hope & Anchor in London on June 15th. Dean will be joined by Jim Maving and Tom Collinson. Dean won UK Song of the Year at the recent UK AMA Awards for ‘Southern Wind’ co-written with Will Kimbrough. More about Dean Owens including the video for ‘Southern Wind’ follows:
Dean Owens is one Scotland's finest singer/songwriters. Armed with a searingly soulful voice, skillfully crafted stories and memorably heart-twisting melodies, he is a compelling and engaging live performer, with an emotional hurricane of stories and songs.
This special show with Jim Maving (Case Harding and others) and Tom Collinson (Danny and the Champions of the World and others) promises to be a special night.
Dean has recently signed to UK label At The Helm Records, with his current album (his 7th) Southern Wind released in 2018 to wide critical acclaim. Southern Wind was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee, with the same team responsible for his acclaimed Into the Sea producer Neilson Hubbard, award winning guitarist (and long time collaborator) Will Kimbrough and some great US musicians.
Earlier this year Dean won the prestigous UK AMA Song of the Year for the wonderful Southern Wind co-written with Will Kimborough.
