Little Feat - Indigo at the O2 London July 29th 2025

One of the most influential acts of their time, Little Feat will return to the UK for an exclusive UK show at London’s Indigo at The O2, on July 29th. With a string of impressive Rhino label reissues of their back catalogue pleasing fans from back in the day, while new fans continue to discover the band via a string of songs that have become classics over the years, the timing of their return to the UK seems ideal. I’ve hazy memories of catching the band back in the late 1980s, when they reformed and released the excellent ‘Let It Roll’ album. Tickets are on sale now.

Little Feat – the genre-blending pioneers of American Rock, today announced their first UK and European dates in 12 years and an exclusive UK show at London’s Indigo at The O2, on Tuesday July 29th, 2025. Tickets are on sale now from https://www.aegpresents.co.uk/event/little-feat/

Blending Blues, Country, Funk, Americana, New Orleans and Jazz with some of the most skilled musicianship in rock history, Little Feat are once again hitting the road. Expect a 2 hour show with all the classics from their entire catalogue. Celebrated fans of the band include The Rolling Stones, Jimmy Page and The 1975’s Matt Healy!

London and the UK hold a special place in Little Feat’s rich touring history, with the band memorably performing as special guests on The Who’s UK stadium tour, which included a show at Charlton Athletic football club, in the long hot summer of 1976. The following year Little Feat returned to London to headline four nights at The Rainbow Theatre, with recordings from these shows, included in their celebrated live album ‘Waiting for Columbus’, notably considered by Rolling Stone magazine, as one the greatest live albums of all time.

Just last year, Little Feat released the Grammy nominated Blues album ‘Sam’s Place’ which featured Bonnie Raitt on the lead single and duet with long time band member Sam Clayton. Now in 2025 Little Feat have released Strike up the Band, their first new record of original material in over 10 years. Produced by Vance Hall (Phish, Chris Stapleton, Jack White) the album received glowing reviews. Rolling Stone noted, “They really don’t make records like Strike Up the Band anymore,” while The New York Times declared, “Little Feat has every right to celebrate its own longevity.”

Celebrated as a key influence by legends like Led Zeppelin and The Rolling Stones, the band built a cult following in the late ’60s and ’70s with their distinctive gumbo of New Orleans Rhythm and Blues, Country, Rock, Funk, and Jazz. Whilst mainstream commercial success always seemed just out of reach, tracks like “Dixie Chicken,” “Spanish Moon,” “Fat Man in the Bathtub,” and “Rock and Roll Doctor” have become classics in the rock canon.

Over the decades, they've released 17 studio albums and 10 live albums - through ups and downs, love and loss, lineup changes, and relentless touring, Little Feat has endured, bonded by friendship and a shared musical vision. Their ever-evolving lineup has featured icons like the late, great Lowell George, founding drummer Richie Hayward, and guitarist Paul Barrere. Today, the band continues to thrive with founding member Bill Payne on keys, alongside longtime collaborators Fred Tackett (guitar/vocals), Kenny Gradney (bass), and Sam Clayton (percussion/vocals). The addition of younger talents Scott Sharrard (lead guitar/vocals) and Tony Leone (drums/vocals) has reinvigorated their sound and live performances
