The Equatorial Group - Live Broadoak Sessions video

December 01, 2014 by David Vousden in Americana, Folk

The south coast of the UK has become a hotbed of Folk and Americana so Red Guitar Music should not have been surprised to be contacted by The Equatorial Group a five piece act from Eastbourne. The band Helen Weeks, Teresa Goss, Andy Tourle, Dave Davies and James Hillman recently performed a Broadoak session which does a great job of capturing their live sound with strident slide guitar and excellent vocal harmonies. The band categorise themselves as languid Americana and the video below of the session is very good indeed. The band play regular gigs around the south, and they tell me they are looking for more, so why not get in touch if you can help them out.
