The Taste Of Mark Morriss

July 01, 2015 by David Vousden in Pop, singer-songwriter

Mark Morriss is best known as the frontman for The Bluetones who had 13 UK top 40 singles in the days when you had to sell plenty of records to have a UK hit. The Bluetones recently reformed and are touring the UK in September but in the meantime Mark is about to release his second studio solo album entitled  “The Taste of Mark Morriss”, this record is a 12-track intimate insight into the creative-mind of one of the UK’s finest song-writers. Mark has selected his favourite “blast from the past” songs that helped to form his musical tastes and shape his songwriting skills, picking the tunes apart and re-invented them with his own flair.

November 20, 2014 by David Vousden in Folk, Country, Pop

December 1st 2014 will mark the release of the second full album from Boston native Michelle Lewis.  The self-released album is the belated, but very welcome, follow up to her 2004 debut ‘This Time Around’. Once again Lewis has worked with producer and multi-instrumentalist Anthony J Resta (Duran Duran, Collective Soul, Shawn Mullins etc.) with whom she had previously worked on her ‘Broken’ and ‘Paris’ EPs. The album includes two superb songs written with Nashville songwriter Robby Hecht.
