The famed Bluebird Cafe returns to C2C in 2018 + After Show Party News
The famed Bluebird Cafe will return to the C2C event at the O2 in 2018. The Nashville institution has experienced an increase in visibility and popularity in recent years as an integral part of the Nashville TV show so expect tickets to be in high demand. Nashville is all about the songwriter so these seated songwriters round shows really get to the roots of the music. The O2 / C2C have also released details of the official Aftershow Parties for 2018 with Walker Hayes, Lukas Nelson & Promise of The Real, Brett Young with Morgan Evans set to please the late night music lovers (Glasgow will also have aftershow parties for our friends north of the border). The Bluebird Cafe returns to C2C for its third year and will welcome guests to its new larger venue; Building Six at The O2, on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th March.
This seated show takes the form of a ‘songwriter’s round’; with each artist taking it in turns to talk about their relationship with The Bluebird Cafe, their songwriting and the stories behind their music. Introduced and curated by Erika Wollam Nichols, who has worked for The Bluebird Café in Nashville for over 30 years, C2C presents this unique opportunity to experience what The Bluebird Café has been serving up every week for over 30 years.
From 10pm on Friday 9th, Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th March, indigo at The O2 will open its doors to the after shows parties in London which will feature some of the hottest up-and-coming Nashville acts.
Brett Young who toured the UK recently opening for Lady Antebellum and is enjoying one of the biggest country hits of 2017 with In Case You Didn’t Know, supported by Morgan Evans who released his debut single, Kiss Somebody this year. Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, son of Willie Nelson and touring band for Neil Young, they recently released their new self-titled album, and Walker Hayes who is currently on the road in the US with Thomas Rhett and will soon be releasing his album boom, which includes his breakthrough single, You Broke Up With Me.
Each after show will also feature the latest country sounds via Nashville’s DJ “Hish” who has toured with some of the industries’ leading artists, as well as spinning at country music’s biggest festivals.
In Glasgow the after show parties will host Lukas Nelson & Promise of The Real on Friday 9th March, and High Valley with Morgan Evans on Saturday 10th March at venue SWG3.
