Maverick Festival 2017 full line-up announced

The Maverick Festival recently announced their full line-up for 2017 with a press launch in London.  The event was held at the Gibson Brands Studio in central London, with craft beers and duck wraps a plenty, to get those attending in the mood for long summer days in the Suffolk countryside. The music for the evening was courtesy of Dean Owens, Brigitte DeMeyer and Will Kimbrough. Dean has been working with Will on his upcoming album and judging by the tunes performed on the night it’ll be another good one. A Thousand Horses & The Cadillac Three embrace Record Store Day 2017

Two artists that we have featured previously at Red Guitar Music have lined up releases for Record Store Day 2017 on April 22nd. A Thousand Horses 'Live from London {Metropolis Studios)' and The Cadillac Three 'Live At Abbey Road' are both limited edition vinyl only pressings. The highly anticipated final album from Chuck Berry due June 16th via Dualtone/Decca

Time marches on and the passing of Chuck Berry on March 18th really did feel like the end of an era. Others will take up the baton and run with it but, with so few of those early pioneers still recording, the original feel and spirit of Rock 'N' Roll may well have left the building. Thankfully, plans were already in place for the release of the final album that Chuck Berry and his family had been working on for many years. 'Chuck' will be released June 16th via Dualtone / Decca. Kate Ellis to release 'Carve Me Out' on June 2nd 2017

Southern Halo release debut album on vinyl to coincide with UK tour

Cambridge Folk Festival has announced a huge update with a host of new additions to the 2017 festival. As is usually the case with Cambridge Folk the festival brings together an eclectic mix of artists old and new from many genres of music.The latest additions announced include Shirley Collins, Loudon Wainwright III, Indigo Girls, Ward Thomas, Cara Dillon and Liv On (Olivia Newton-John, Beth Nielsen Chapman, Amy Sky). Sean Rowe ponders 'Newton's Cradle' and announces London show.

Sean Rowe has released another track from his upcoming album 'New Lore' which is out April 7th on Anti-. The single 'Newton's Cradle' shows a different side of the singer-songwriter when compared to the first release from the album 'Gas Station Rose' but is equally impressive. Joy Mills Band announce new EP 'Coming Up' due March 9th

Seattle based country roots act The Joy Mills Band will release their new EP 'Coming Up' on March 9th.
