Frontiers Music presents The New Breed

The roots of the Italian Frontiers label can be traced back to 1996 and over the years they've expanded to become a major player in classic rock / hard rock / melodic rock / AOR circles. Previous label releases include some of the biggest names in the genre including Whitesnake, Yes, Def Leppard, Rick Springfield, Journey etc. The label recently opened offices in London and announced the first edition of 'Frontiers - New Breed Night' which will showcase three British acts recently signed to the label. The event takes place at The Black Heart in London's Camden on April 26th with Doomsday Outlaw, Dirty Thrills and The Brink turning up the volume. Status Quo 2CD/3CD Deluxe Editions due May 26th 2017

May 26th 2017 is the date for a set of deluxe reissues from UK rock legends Status Quo. The trio of albums getting the expanded treatment are 'Blue For You', 'Just Supposin' and 'Never Too Late'. The three releases all feature a host of demo, b-side and live material over two discs while 'Never Too Late' is expanded to a 3CD set with the further addition of a previously unreleased live show from 1981. Subterranean Festival to feature The Amorettes, Pins and Stone Broken

Procol Harum celebrate 50 years with new album 'Novum' and UK tour

To mark their 50th anniversary seminal rock act Procol Harum with founder member Gary Brooker at the helm will return with a new studio album 'Novum' on April 21st via Eagle Records. The album is their first in fourteen years and a European tour with a set of UK dates has also been announced. Status Quo - The Vinyl Singles Collection (1972-1979) Ltd Ed due March 10th

Status Quo will release the first of five limited edition vinyl box sets on March 10th. The first in the series includes all of their classic 70's singles including such gems as 'Caroline' and 'Down Down' The box also includes a download code if you prefer your Quo on the go. Kansas find 'Rhythm In The Spirit' and announce European dates

Deep Purple to release newly restored 'California Jam' on Blu-ray December 2nd

For the first time the legendary performance by Deep Purple at the California Jam 1974 is set for a Blu-ray release via earMUSIC on December 2nd 2016. FM to release new album Indiscreet 30

Deep Purple - The Vinyl Collection 1972-1987

Universal Music Catalogue is delighted to announce the January 2016 release of Deep Purple ‘The Vinyl Collection’. This 7-LP collection features the groups’ albums spanning the period 1972-1987, re-mastered from the original tapes (including the first official re-masters of titles, Perfect Strangers and The House Of The Blue Light) pressed on 180gm vinyl, they come complete with original inserts within replica sleeves and are housed together in a sturdy, deluxe box. Each album will also be made available as a stand-alone title.

Fans of seminal Canadian act Rush will, I’m sure, be aware of the vinyl reissue campaign the band and their label Universal have embarked on in 2015. The legendary act are in the process of re-releasing their catalogue on vinyl and each LP will also contain a download code for the High Res Digital Audio of the album in a range of formats. Selected albums will also be made available on the Blu-Ray Pure Audio format (Fly By Night / A Farewell To Kings / Signals).

ZZ TOP to play one-off London show in June 2015

Legendary southern rock act Lynyrd Skynyrd will receive the vinyl box set treatment from Universal in the new year. The box will include all of their classic albums from the 1973 – 77 period when the band bought the southern rock sound to the masses with a string of fine albums. Each LP will have exact reproductions of original artwork to retain authenticity, and will be pressed to 180 gram heavyweight audiophile vinyl and contained in a rigid slipcase box.

Blackberry Smoke unveils new album 'Holding All the Roses' for 2015

Blackberry Smoke may still be on their European tour, with Australian act Massive in support, but the Atlanta rockers are in no mood to let the grass grow under their feet. On February 9, 2015, they will release Holding All the Roses, the band’s fourth studio album.

Classic hard rock act Heaven & Earth featuring guitarist Stuart Smith and frontman Joe Retta are hard at work on a follow up to the acclaimed 2013 release ‘Dig’. The band has undergone some changes and the new line-up welcomes Ty Bailie (Keyboards), Lynn Sorensen (bass / vocals) and legendary drummer Kenny Aronoff to the fold. Sorensen has seen service with Paul Rodgers / Bad Company while Aronoff (John Mellencamp / John Fogerty / Chickenfoot / Smashing Pumpkins) should need no introduction.
