Jon Kenzie will share his wanderlust July 1st, 2016

Manchester, UK singer-songwriter Jon Kenzie will release his third album on July 1st via the respected German Membran label. Red Guitar Music was lucky enough to get an advance copy of the CD this week and our first impressions are that 'From Wanderlust' Features a terrific mix of acoustic folk and more bluesy songs and sounds like a keeper. Billy Bragg & Joe Henry will shine a light 23rd Sept, 2016

Billy Bragg & Joe Henry reunited to record a set of songs that related to the American railroad. They decided the ideal way to record the songs was to board the famed Texas Eagle Amtrak service for a trip across the USA recording tracks along the way. The result is 'Shine A Light' Field Recordings From The Great American Railroad. The album will be released September 23rd, 2016 on the Cooking Vinyl label and includes songs originally recorded by Lead Belly, Jimmie Rodgers, Hank Williams and Glen Campbell.

Jon Boden new track and solo tour announced

Aukai to release debut album June 3rd 2016

Aukai aka ambient acoustic soundscape artist Markus Sieber will release his self-titled debut album on June 3rd, 2016. The two tracks released so far to promote the album really are quite beautiful pieces of music that feature the Ronroco a stringed mandolin like instrument that originated in the Andean regions of South America. Van Susans - New single and London show

London based alternative folk-rock act Van Susans have UK dates set for 2016 including a London show at 229 Club Great Portland Street on April 28th 2016. The day before their new single, the excellent, 'Seagulls' is released on Beatnick Geek Records. The band also have some festival slots lined up including Cornbury, the Beacon and Towersey Festivals in Oxford and P4P in Reigate.

Santana IV due April 15th reunites classic 1973 band members.

The rumoured reunion of the classic 1973 version of Santana is about to come to fruition with the release of Santana IV and a tour to follow. The 2016 band features Carlos Santana, Gregg Rolie, Neal Schon, Michael Schrieve and Michael Carabello and continues the sound of their first three albums, which many fans still consider to be their classic period. Neal Schon and Gregg Rolie would leave Santana in 1973 and go on to form Journey which Schon leads to this day. The full press release follows…

An introduction to Ben Abraham

Australian singer-songwriter Ben Abraham recently released a video for 'You And Me' a track taken from his debut album 'Sirens' due June 17th on the Secretly Canadian label. Abraham recorded and produced Sirens in Melbourne with the help of friends and longtime collaborators Jono Steer and Leigh Fisher. The album also features a collaboration with Sara Bareilles, who Abraham connected online and struck up a friendship with several years ago, on “This Is On Me” as well as additional production from Gotye’s Wally De Backer on “Speak."

Israel Nash new single 'LA Lately' due October 2nd.

Israel Nash and his band are excited to release the first single, “LA Lately,” on 2nd October. The track is taken off their new album Israel Nash’s Silver Season, due out on October 9th on Loose/Thirty Tigers. The track is the second offering from the upcoming album after the recent release of ‘Strangers’ both tracks are superb and have really wetted the appetite for the album.
